– Students from all over the North Vancouver Island will bring life to historical events this Friday, May 4 and Saturday, May 5 at the Alberni Valley Museum Heritage Fair at Echo Centre. Several members of the Alberni Valley Lions Club volunteer as judges for this event. – Students from all over the North Vancouver Island will bring life to historical events this Friday, May 4 and Saturday, May 5 at the Alberni Valley Museum Heritage Fair at Echo Centre. Several members of the Alberni Valley Lions Club volunteer as judges for this event. – The 2017 Pet-Valu Walk for Dogs will be held at Bosley's in the Pacific Rim Shopping Centre Park on Sunday, May 27. Registration begins at 12:00 pm. The walk begins at 1:00 pm and will end at 3:00 pm. Hot Dogs will be sold at $2.00 and soda at $1.00 by concession. Water is free.
